Alessandro Giuliano (born in 1974) lives and works between New York, Rome and Naples. He got his degree in Political Sciences from Federico II University of Naples. He began his career as a photographer working for theater: his aim was to investigate artistic contents through the camera. Crucial points for his career were the experiences in Rome and New York. In 2010 he took the postgraduate course of multidisciplinary specialization in photography at the ICP- International Center of Photography in NY. There, he also worked as assistant teacher. Artherapy – Art dans la cité
Its name is “Art dans la cité”. It’s a Parisian association involved in the artworks placement inside hospitals. Thanks to its ventures, every day more than 3000 patients benefit from the emotional impact of art, through almost 80 unique artworks, among which multisensorial installations, paintings, sculptures, photos and digital works. 70 hospitals in France, Europe, Japan and Canada joined the project. “Let’s color the cure” is the title of the campaign organized by the Sant’Anna Hospital in Turin and the Medicina a Misura di Donna Foundation, that brought to the realization, from an idea by the renowed Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, of an incredible wall painting in the area in front of wards and operating rooms.
