“Still aLive” is not a common bilingual book or catalogue. It’s a collection of stories embodied into images, into photographies born from the meeting and reciprocal exchange between utterly different experiences. On one side 33 former patients who have won the fight against cancer, on the other side 23 photographers – from Aurelio Amendola to Gianni Berengo Gardin, from Oliviero Toscani to Enrico Cattaneo, from Paola Di Bello to Nino Migliori – who have been investigating their favoured interlocutors’ souls in order to create shots which would have been the mirror of their lives. Various are the points of view used by the artists, from the narrative standard to a more metaphorical approach. But the support of art remains unchanged, being once more a chance of dialogue and serenity.
